Good food is easy to come by in Bangkok. There are noodles stands almost anywhere you turn, with fresh dishes at reasonable prices. Near Silom on Soi Convent there are some fantastic restaurants serving traditional Thai meals. For those wanting modest and authentic Thai food, Prik Kee Noo is a great place to eat. People who prefer a little East meets West fusion should check out 'Eat Me', a small restaurant with an intimate atmosphere. Bangkok also offers much in the way of international cuisine, from Italian to Japanese to pub grub.

Restaurants tried and recommended:

Arun Residence Great place to stop for a drink or something to eat if you are by the palace or the reclining Buddha. Right down on on the river, you can see the deck if you come up river on a boat. Has an aircon part as well if you want to escape the heat. Good place for dinner as well, very few tourists in the evening, mainly locals, because of it's location and the food is fantastic. To find the place walk out of the reclining Buddha and head towards the river, turn left and walk past all the stalls and shops until you get to a small crossroads (about 5 streets down) and turn right. The road id paved red and you can see bamboo at the end.
