When you visit Tel Aviv, you may prefer to walk whenever possible, but sometimes you do need to take a taxi.

What you may find is that some drivers will say they know where to go when you get in, but will then pull over up the road, call the dispatcher, mess with the navigation system and generally seemed confused.

This can happen even if you think you are going to pretty well known places, like the Nalagaat Center where there is a theater and popular restaurant,  Mul Yam, Tel Aviv's top gourmet restaurant  or to Manta Ray, a very popular seafood restaurant on the beach.

You can avoid driver confusion and delays by bringing the address and phone number of the destination with you and have  the concierge draw maps for the drivers whenever possible.
