The climate of Beirut ranges from extremely hot to moderately chilly. During the summer months, the temperature can get up to 105 degrees farenheit, but it usually just hovers around 85-95 degrees. It is a great time for enjoying swimming in the sea and going to beach resorts. In the winter and spring months, the temperature is generally a bit cooler, but there are a lot of rains and rare snow storms. If you are going to be visiting Beirut during the winter months, it is best to bring a jacket and pants. Also, if you are heading out for the day it is wise to have at least a sweater on you because once the sun goes down the temperatures will drop dramatically. February is a big time for tourism in the city. Just outside of the city you can go skiing, and this draws a big crowd. Even with the snow and colder temperatures, there are still a great deal of sunny days, which is a very important thing when you are traveling.
