Seoul has its fair share of nightlife. There are great places to go out and get a drink, or a bite to eat in every corner of the city . First of many is Itaewon-dong. This is a very happening street, and because of it's close proximity to a U.S. Army garrison, there are plenty of Americans around all the time. This might not be exactly what you want, but you will have a taste of home as well. In addition to Korean bars and clubs, there are also western-styled bars and clubs here. There are also a good number of good restaurants in the area. You can find some really good clubs here, but you should also watch out for some duds. There are some "chic" clubs here that are very hard to get into, and the drinks are ridiculously overpriced. There are also other clubs that will promise a great atmosphere and lots of people, but after paying the cover charge you realize you and some other poor suckers are the only ones inside. Another great place to find food, friends, and drinks is the Hongdae area. This is one of the college districts in Seoul, the restaraunts are plentiful, and of course there is shopping all around. A must see to get  a sense of the college-life in Korea. Akpujong is one more stop to make for late night fun. It is the same sort of scene as the other, and has great clubs, that often have deals.
