Cusco is a popular vacation destination, with many traveler services. Right at the Velasco Astete Airport is an iPeru branch, and another one is located on the Plaza de Armas. You can also check out the official website here.

A block away from the Plaza is the Tourist Information Office, which is staffed with locals who are very helpful, and also provides maps and tourist tickets. Yet another office is set in the Terminal Terrestre de Wanchaq train station.

And if any problems arise, turn to the National Tourism Police at Calle Saphi. The staff speaks English, and is trained to help foreign visitors with whatever they need. Another option is the Tourist Protection Bureau on the Plaza de Armas.

Be wary, however, of the multitude of travel agencies that may approach you. Very few are reputable, so no matter how good a certain package sounds, never take out your money without making an official visit to the office. Better yet, check the agent’s credentials with the Tourist Information Office.
