This private collection, assembled by Miguel Mujica Gallo, contains a wide assortment of pre-Columbian gold handicraft, weapons, ceremonial objects, jewelry and gold from both the Incas and pre-Inca civilizations. Although the museum’s collection is not very well organized, it is fantastic in quality. The museum is located in a residential suburb 30 minutes driving from the Lima airport. It`s pieces are truly breathtaking and make one happy that the conquistadors did leave some of the treasures whole and not melted into gold bullion to be shipped back.
