Travelers spending time in Tirana may find it most useful to plan on walking around much of the areas they would like to visit.  Travelers should do their research and work on staying in hotel accommodations which are centrally located and near the attractions they plan on seeing while they are in the area.  This minimizes the hassle of getting from place to place and cuts down on the need for finding other modes of transportation in the area.

For travelers who do not want to chance driving in Tirana but who also do not want to walk to each location, van service is recommended.   Many hotels offer such a service and visitors should check with the front desk of their hotel as well as with local tourist information offices to arrange for such transportation.   Taxis are also a viable option, with some taxi drivers providing area tours at a relatively low cost.
