You can get around Belgrade easily by using the bus. Bus tickets are cheap and the best value is carnets of 10 bought at a news agent. Single journey s cost around 42p. You can get a bus ticket on the bus from the diver but they usually don’t look at you kindly and they don’t have change.

 

Another solution is to get a cab. They are so cheap – from the National Theatre to outside Belgrade (a 45 min drive) cost  £10 with one of  the  many cab firms in Belgrade . The best possible offer is with BEOTAXI as they have a standard rate of £8 whenever you go and if your journey costs a little under that rate they will charge you the amount shown on the metre.
