Cerro Caracol (Snail Hill) is a small hill near the centre of Concepcion City, which has a maximum elevation of 250 metres.  A number of paths lead from the ends of Tucapel, Lincoyan and other Streets up the hill to its city lookout, and the longer walks available. The lookout has a monument to Otto von Bismark, donated by the local German Community.

The city's biggest urban park, Parque Ecuador, forms part of the city-side of the hill.  The park is used by families for picnics, taking advantage of the numerous playgrounds.  It is also a good place to jog, bicycle, and relax.  In February each year, an international craftworks exhibition is held, while in September National Day celebrations also take place.
