You have many transportation choices when traveling within Atlantic City.

To get from one Boardwalk casino to another, it's a refreshing walk along "the boards."  It's about  2.5 miles from the northernmost Boardwalk hotel (Showboat) to the southernmost (Hilton). If you don't feel like walking, you can take one of the moving chairs that are pushed up and down the Boardwalk.  These are often less expensive than taxis, and more fun too!

If the weather is cold or rainy, you can use interior walkways between some of the casinos: you can go from Caesars to Wild West to Bally's; or from Showboat to Trump Taj Mahal to Resorts without stepping outside and you can pause to take in the ocean view between properties.

Of course, a taxi cab is another option.  Fares for inside Atlantic City are capped at $13.  You can easily catch a taxi at any of the casino/hotels.

Atlantic City also has great public transportation.  The jitneys visit all the casino/hotels.  The jitney fare is $2.25 per trip. There are four jitney routes, so be sure the one you catch goes to the casino you want to visit.

Total Rewards members can ride a free bus between the four properties owned by Harrah's: Harrah's at the marina, Caesars, Bally's/Wild West, and Showboat. Gold level members will need to be staying at a Harrahs property to qualify.  TrumpOne Executive and Chairman members may use the Trump Shuttle which visits Trump Marina, Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza.

Personal scooters can also be rented.  These can be used inside the casinos, or as fast personal transit up and down the boardwalk.  Personal scooters are not recommended on main roadways.
