Golf is among the most popular activities in Hua Hin, and golfers have many courses to choose from. The majority are world-class, with reasonable greens fees, cart rentals, and caddy charges. Reservations are accepted, and advisable, especially on the weekends. Most hotels are happy to help their guests arrange both tee times and transportation.

A few good courses to start with: The Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, opened in 1924 near the Railway Station, is Thailand’s first championship course. The Palm Hills Golf Resort and Country Club, located just north of Hua Hin in nearby Cha-Am, is a challenging course with rolling hills. And the Springfield Royal Country Club, also in Cha-Am, was designed by Jack Nicklaus and offers serene valley views.

Watersports are another popular diversion in Hua Hin, and if your hotel does not rent equipment, there are many less expensive option along the beach. Jet Skis, Windsurfers, and Hobie Cats are especially easy to find. Boat and snorkeling tours are also available.
