Charlies Place is a family friendly dining place. It has a large kids play area at the back and the staff are all very friendly to the children. The restaurant is owned by a Turkish guy named Aytag but most people call him Billy. His wife Elaine is Scottish, and they have a son James who is 4 years old. The rest of the staff are nice also (Mahoni, Yusuf Chicco, Sahin, Alibaba, Gokhan, Beko, and Hulya). The entertainment in the restaurant is for all ages so it really is a family place. If you go to Marmaris go to Charlies Place - it's just about 400 yards down past Mcdonalds across the road from the Selen Hotel and not far from the beach.
Jackie’s Cafe Bar is a small, friendly, family-run place, and what it lacks in size it definitely makes up for in atmosphere and food.
The menu is an excellent mix of Turkish and English dishes (the Turkish meatballs are especially good). It has to be said that the Turkish meatballs are fantastic, filled with herbs and spices (they're not spicy hot!) just gorgeous, served with a salad. The lamb shish kebabs are also a favorite. The selection of English dishes is just as good, including fish & chips, steak & kidney pie, pepper steak and homemade desserts. High chairs are available and even a children’s menu ranging from 3 - 5 lira.
It has to be said they do one of the best breakfasts in Marmaris. You can get a full breakfast for 5 lira or half sized breakfast for 4. If you like to go there just send e-mail to Jackies and they will send you location card.
