The Flower and Coffee Fair
Coffee in Boquete is said to be the best grain in the country and its produce of flowers is varied and plenty being the two main economic activities of the region. It is no wonder that its main festival celebrates, yes, coffee. The Flower and Coffee Fair takes place at the end of January and beginning of February. (Boquete is Panama's prime flower provider)
It is cold but thousands of travelers don't want to miss the flowers and plants and the great coffee exhibitions.
The whole family can enjoy the festival as there are entertaiment activities and games for the kids and many booths where you can purchase local food as well as the famous Boquete candy.
Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival
The small city of Boquete situated in the picturesque highlands of Panama in Chiriqui province close to the Costa Rican border has long since been a favorite tourist area as well as one of the best retirement places in the world. The Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival 2012 will just add another jewel to the many attractions of this land between two oceans to foreign tourists. The March 1-4, 2012 festival will feature world-class international Blues as well as Latin Jazz.
