There are some great helicopter tours available from a company called Helisight. They have a website in Portuguese at http://www.helisight.com.br. The tour leaves from the lagoon and flies over Ipanema and Copacabana and then around the Christ statue. The 9 minute flight is fantastic - they also have longer flights available. Totally amazing to see the entire city from the sky!
