Just remember that Sao Paulo is one of the biggest cities in South America, so at all times be careful with your belongings when walking on the streets or on public transportation, especially in the evening/night. When in a car, avoid driving with the windows rolled down. Avoid parking the car on the streets and hide all valuables in plain sight in the car, lock the car.
