Close to the heart of Uptown, this is a 4.9 mile intermediate-level roundtrip hike with sensational red rock views of Snoopy Rock and Elephant Rock. among others.  Huckleby has it all:  hillside and creek, evergreens and wild flowers and city views. Watch for the unusual ocotillo plants and a bench dedicated to the memory of Josh Williams, who died at 22. Be careful if you decide to cross the creek at the end of the trail as there are many side trails that can take you off track. When you first get to the creek stay to the right continue up the creek.  The rocks covering the river bottom are mossy and slippery.  Toilets are available at the Schnebly Hill trailhead.
