Williams is not really the place to come for intense, upscale shopping. It is however, a great place to see local crafts and art, particularly that of the native Hopi Pueblo Indian Tribe, who are known for their artwork. It's really a cute little town with a lot of small shops.

There used to be several Native shops in Williams but they have closed over the years. Thunder Eagle Native Art, also on Route 66 has a huge collection of Hopi, Zuni, Santo Domingo  and Navajo jewelry.  They carry a large selection of 14K Native gold and they also have a large selection of contemporary style of Indian jewelry.

For American crafts and artwork, head to the Rustic Raspberry on what else, but Route 66. In fact, Route 66 really is thoroughfare of life in Williams. Stores and restaurants thrive in this area and for good reason, it being an attraction itself. If its gifts and souvenirs you are still after, there is more than enough near and at the Grand Canyon National Park. The whole area is a tourist mecca so there is no shortage of any kind of trinket you may want to remember your stay here!

There are over 1,200 rooms availabe due to its proximity to the Grand Canyon and the fact the Grand Canyon Railway is located here also.  The train leaves every morning and brings you back that evening unless you've made reservations to stay the night at the canyon.
