Navan has lots to do. There's a shopping centre, the Hill of Tara, the race Course. It is famous for it's Olympic handball team and many Navan Natives are on the national team.  There is also a lively music scene. Most any night there are sessions in any number of pubs around the town centre. Recommended are Begge's and Bermingahams on Ludlow Street and the Royal Meath on Market Square. A few good places to eat include Copper and Spice for wonderful Indian cuisine, China Garden for (you guessed it ) Chinese, the newly opened Hyland Fish and Chips for traditional English style fish and chips and the Valley Cafe for warm atmosphere in this family run establishment.

Navan makes a good jumping off spot for many historical sites in County Meath, including Newgrange and  Lough Crew neolithic sites, Monasterboice and BectiveAbbey monastic sites, Hill of Tara, Kells and many others.

Oh, and don't forget the Golf!!! Nearby are Navan Golf Club, Headford Golf Club (Kells - 36 holes) and Kileen Castle, home of the 2011 Solheim Cup.
