Most people come to Chongqing to do the Three Gorges boat tours but there is a lot to see in Chongqing. There are the antique markets, textile markets and other shopping opportunities but better still are the day trips to Dazu a UNESCO listed world heritage site, Zhongshan and Laitan, and Ciciquo all ancient towns outside the burgeoning metropolis or is it megatropolis?

 Chongqing at night is beautiful as the buildings seem to have been designed for viewing at night from a distance. Have a meal along Nang Ping Road and see the city across the Yangtze River. A good restaurant is 123 Favourable Winds.
