Despite it's small size relative to some of the other Peninsula cities, Pacific Grove has some wonderful restaurants. Here would be a top list of restaurants to check out when you are in town:

• Peppers Mexicali Cafe (offers a really unique twist on Mexican Cuisine)
  
• The White House Restaurant (Romantic, downtown, housed in an old Victorian)
  
• Red House Cafe (Charming cafe style in an old fashioned red house - great salads and sandwiches)
  
• Taste Bistro Cafe (One of the best values on the Peninsula - from pasta to Filet Mignon)
  
• Fifi's Cafe (Romantic, friendly French restaurant)  
• Max's Bistro (continental; good prices; very friendly; wonderful food)
• Passionfish (sustainable fish products; outstanding food and good prices)
• Great Awakenings (great breakfast; great atmosphere; tricky to find)
  
• Fandango (Upscale but fun atmosphere; wood roasted lamb; very complete menu and bar)
  

You can read further reviews on sites like montereyrestaurants.com or check out the Coast Weekly when you get into town. The Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce also does an excellent job in recommending restaurants. All three sources are pretty unbiased.
