What to do in Redondo Beach? Go to the beach! Stroll along the pier...eat at Kincaids (fine dining) or at one of the walk-up restaurants (pick your own crab!). Get an ice cream at the end of the pier. On Thursdays from 9-1, enjoy the farmer's market just south of the pier on the walkway. Go to Seaside Lagoon in the summer if you have kids -or just go to the beach. Enjoy a fabulous meal at Chez Melange, the restaurant at Palos Verdes Inn.
Explore the Hollywood Riviera, which is the super charming area of downtown S. Redondo. Zazou is another good restaurant, as is Redondo Brewing Co (casual). For mexican, try the Riviera or Casa Pulido. Friends of the Vine is a wine tasting bar. Bike or rollerblade along the beach on the wide concrete walkway. You can ride or skate all the way to Santa Monica, but most people stop in Hermosa Beach for a drink. If you have kids, don't miss Sea Lab, a small ocean rescue operation with terrific "beach walks" and sea tours. Also, don't miss Veteran's park which overlooks the ocean (close to the pier). In the summer, free concerts are held in the park (check the city pages) and also at the pier. Enjoy this laid back gem of a city!
