Places to Visit
Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region offers many places that are suitable for singles, couples and most especially families. There are many free things to do especially if yours is an outdoors family. The hiking in Garden of the Gods ranges from wheelchair-friendly paths that you can push grandma along to longer, more strenuous hikes that require lug soled boots or running shoes. Helen Hunt Falls is free (Cheyenne Canon) and a beautiful drive. Make a loop by going up Gold Camp Road from 26th street, through 2 old railroad tunnels and back down Cheyenne Canon. Bear Creek Nature Center is also free as is the Starsmore Center and both offer tours/hikes in the summer.
