The Last Steep Bar and Grill, located in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado is a must for any one visiting the area.  Bring your family, enjoy your friends, build your own bloody mary.  Local's love it and for good reason. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to get you headed in the right direction.  Located just off the bus stop at 2nd Street and Elk Avenue, The Steep should be the first stop on your way down Elk Avenue for an afternoon off the slopes.  The Steep has a kid's menu and kids are always welcome, but you may want to sit further back in the dining area where the fish tanks are located.  The kids are insulated from the bar, and the non-kid vacationers are insulated from your kids, it all seems to work rather well.  In the summer it is a great location to dine and/or drink outside while people-watching the tourists and activities on Elk Avenue.

Once you've lively "upped" yourself at the Last Steep travel down Elk Avenue towards Sixth Street.  You will find all kinds of gift shops, spas, yoga studios, coffee shops,  outdoor gear, guide services, and typically your own adventure with the friendly, helpful locals of Crested Butte.  When you get to Sixth Street you can pick up the Mountain Express Free Shuttle and be off to your next destination in Crested Butte, Mt. Crested Butte, and now even Gunnison, Colorado!
