The Amelia Island Light is located on the highest bluff on Amelia Island overlooking Egan's Creek and Ft. Clinch State Park and further east, the Atlantic Ocean.  Due to lack of parking and now being surrounded by residential homes, access to the Amelia Island Lighthouse is limited to tours through the City of Fernandina Beach Parks & Recreation.  Tours are at 10:00 a.m. the FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of the month.  You MUST call at least 24 hours in advance (904-277-7350).  Admission is $5 per adult and children (12 and under) $3.  Tours depart from the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center less than a mile from the lighthouse.  Restoration work was done in 2005.   The tour does not allow participants to climb the stairs of the lighthouse.

The lighthouse can also be viewed from an observation point inside Ft. Clinch State Park, as well as from where Atlantic Avenue (A1A) crosses over Egans Creek.
