Orlando is home to nearly every brand of high-end steakhouse.  Predictably, they all look and feel about the same.  Old Hickory Steakhouse, however, stands out in the crowd.   Certainly the glass-covered atrium and simulated Everglades setting make this one of the more memorable dining spots in O-town... but, here, the food stands out in its own right.

Old Hickory features certified Black Angus beef, cooked to perfection.  Top it off with the artisanal cheese course -- one of the most complete and exotic in Florida.  The Maitre d' Fromage will stop by your table and explain the various cheeses to you, all hand-made in small batches at farms around the world.  You don't want to miss this culinary delight.

Speaking of delight -- don't miss dessert either.  The souffle may put this restaurant on the map.

Old Hickory Steakhouse is located inside the impressive Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, 6000 W Osceola Parkway, in Kissimmee.  It is located at the south end of Disney property, a few minutes from Disney's Wide World of Sports and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  It is also a short drive from most of Orlando's large hotels, including Marriott Orlando World Center.

This restaurant provides full parking validation with a meal, and partial valet validation.  Reservations recommended, 407-586-0000.
