When you arrive in Miami, you will probably feel confused about where you are, where to go and, after you are settled in your hotel, what to do. Don’t worry, it is natural, Miami is huge but friendly as well, and visitors will soon have that first vertigo feeling subdued.

You can pick a copy of the Visitors Guide that brings tons of information about Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County and a six month calendar of events at the Miami Beach Visitors Center located at 1920 Meridian Avenue in Miami Beach. But, it is difficult to find other offices of the Tourism Office around, so your best choice is to grab brochures and maps at the hotels in the different neighborhoods. And, you can find plenty of information on the web (that is the best place to go).

Check out the Visitors Center website at www.miamibeachchamber.com or the City of Miami Beach website: www.miamibeach.fl.gov or call the Tourism hotline (305) 673-7400.

Every neighborhood has its own website with information on museums, music, sports, dining and other interesting things to do. For example, if you are visiting downtown check out at www.downtownmiami.com .

To have a whole idea of what is going on not only in Miami and South Florida but in the whole state, the official Florida site at www.visitflorida.com offers plenty of information and propose itineraries that will help you plan all your activities . A plus, the site is multilingual, mainly English and Spanish.

And, ultimately, ask the locals, people are very, very friendly and they will surely direct you to the place you want to go.
