As with all of Florida, Tampa gets very hot and humid in the summer months and has mild winters.  The spring and fall weather is generally warm and pleasant, though late summer into early fall does see its share of hurricanes and tropical storms.  Taking this into consideration, Tampa is most popular as a tourist destination in the fall, late winter and early spring.  This is also when the prices for hotel rooms and flights are at their peaks.

If you are interested in saving some money and don't mind the heat, there are great deals to be found all over the Tampa area in the summertime.  On a similar note, good deals can also be found in the Tampa area during the late fall, beginning in the latter part of October and into November.  The weather at that time of year is still quite warm and there is a refreshing lack of tourists to deal with on local beaches and at attractions.
