Pocatello is GREAT! If you like outdoors activities such as biking, hiking, climbing, camping. Just around the corner you can float the snake river or go to lava hot springs and soak in the mineral water just to name a few. Pocatello does have all 4 seasons and isn't hot all year round, which is desired for those who love to ski and snowboard. Parade's are held many times a year even around Christmas.

The city plans activities all year long so there is plenty to do if you know where to look.  Old town Pocatello is beautiful as well as taking a drive up some of the mountains near by looking at the new houses or the wide-open fields and trees.

People are very friendly and layed back. Its nice to go outside and hear kids playing in a park or the wind blowing in the trees. Its not a huge city so you don't hear cars all the time or generators running. Pocatello has a university ISU (Idaho State University) and many studants live in close proximity to school.

It is safe to go on a walk and talk to people. There are many hidden treasures in and around Pocatello.
