The White House Grill is one of the best places to eat in the Post Falls, Coeur D' Alene area.  The first thing you see when you come in is usually a crowd of people waiting. Don't go without a reservation on Friday or Saturday.  (They have take out if you forget to make one).  The kitchen is right there with all the busy chaos, and you might find the owner, Raci (pronounced Raji), cooking and greeting guests.  The atmosphere is very Mediterranean, with music that fits the bill perfectly. On Thursday nights there's a belly dancer.  It's a lively, noisy, fun restaurant with lots of atmosphere.

The food is intense, with loads of garlic. If it bothers you, take a Pepcid and go anyway!  Some of their specialties include: salmon, Chilean sea bass, the Turkish Plate (a generous portion of sliced med rare lamb, over sauteed eggplant with rice and garlic green beans on the side).  The Gyros are also popular. All the sandwiches come with a choice of seasoned fries or garlic pasta salad.  Green salads are available on request. Prices are reasonable, from $6 to $15 for the daily specials.  Their Baklava is made with Pistachios. They have an extensive wine list and there is something for everyone from reasonable to expensive, by the glass or bottle.

Having eaten at the White House Grill,  you will have the smell of garlic wafting from you for at least 12 hours and everyone in town will know where you've eaten, so keep breath mints on your person for after dinner.   Obviously, this is no hindrance in the grand scheme of things. You will enjoy every part of the experience so go and have fun!
