Peoria is full of attractions and museums that the whole family can enjoy as well as great opportunities to get outside and enjoy nature.

Visitors love the City Link which runs from May through October, the peak tourist season. The City Link is a trolley ride that brings you around a historic tour of the area for two hours with guided narration.  

Open year round, the Lakeview Museum of Arts and Science is a great place to enjoy art from around the world with a focus on Illinois. The museum also homes a planetarium and a discovery center for children.

More art can be found at the African American Hall of fame along with special exhibits and events.

For another chance to get outside, head to the Glen Oak Park which has a zoo, beautiful gardens including a conservatory and is full of great walking trails. The park has outdoor music concerts, summer festivals, an amphibian exhibit, and a mini railroad system. All ages love the Glen Oak Park. You can continue enjoying wildlife of the area by visiting McClothilin Farm Park as well as Wildlife Prairie Park.

In the fall, head to Tanners Orchard and pick some apples and enjoy the beautiful leave colors.
