The Indianapolis Art Center is located alongside the Monon Trail just north of Broadripple, Visitors are invited to watch art demonstrations in 13 different studios, register for art classes and shop in the Basile Gallery Gift Shop. Visitors are also encouraged to explore ARTSPARK, the 12-acre creativity park with open-air studios and outdoor sculptures.

In addition to teaching classes, they offer open studios in which you can watch a lot of working artists produce their work.  For example, Matt Kenyon is a glass artist who also teaches classes on how to make glass pumpkins/ornaments/hearts/flowers, for various holidays can often be found creating various pieces of art as can Matt Warren, who is a metal sculpture artist. You can also sign up for  demonstrations in glassblowing, ceramics, printmaking or painting. Groups can also participate in hands-on activities in glassblowing, ceramics, painting, drawing, jewelry/metalsmithing, sculpture and fiber arts (cost depends on activity).
