Springhouse Gardens is an agritourism site just south of Lexington in Jessamine county.  Founded on the site of a former tobacco farm and horse riding stables, Springhouse is now home to a picturesque garden shop with 2 acres of trees, shrubs, perennials and more for purchase and over 2 1/2 acres of gardens for viewing whenever the shop is open.  Visitors can explore the old tobacco barn, the restored natural spring, and traditional dry-laid stone walls.  Self guided tours are available to learn about the many trees and evergreens planted throughout the grounds.
