Known as the "Birthplace of Lexington", a nice walking trail leads to a breathtaking natural spring where Lexington was named in 1775. The campsite of William McConnell, upon word that the first Revolutionary War battle had just been fought in Lexington, Massachusetts, McConnell named the future settlement "Lexington". The trail is easy and the springs are well worth seeing.
