TARC, the Transit Authority of River City, serves Louisville and Southern Indiana. The TARC is a fast, accessible, and reliable form of transportation if you aren't renting a car or taking taxis. The average fare is $1; transfers are free within two hours of your ticket purchase. If you don't have a schedule, you can call 505-585-1234 for schedule and station information.
There are Park 'n' Tarc lots throughout the city in very convenient locations where you can park your car or your rental if you want to use public transportation.
The TARC also runs the Toonerville Trolley which travels back and forth between the Louisville Free Public Library to the Galt House from 9am to 6:30pm
