Go and see the world's tallest snow woman ever built.

Creating her has been no small feat. She stands at 121 ft and 1inch, but she will continue to grow as snow continues to fall this winter season.

This is not Bethel's first entry into the Guiness Book of Records. In 1999 the world's tallest snowman was erected by the same group of dedicated engineers, businesses and townsfolk. He was named for then-Maine Governor, Angus King. You can see pictures on their website.

A Portland Maine, Radio station held a contest for the naming rights to this snowwoman. Perhaps because Mainers are a political lot, she has been dubbbed Olympia Snow woman (this is the name of one of Maine's current U.S. Senators - by the way BOTH are women, but only ONE is made of snow).

The snow woman will be available to view in all of her glory probably until the beggining of May. Surely her remnants will be able to be seen until sometime in August. So if you need a bit of snow to splash around in when the temps top 90, Bethel will be the place to be.
