Walk Bucksports mile long waterfront walkway.  Starting at the Bucksport / Verona bridge on Main Street, follow the lamp post lined, professionally landscaped brick walkway one mile along the Penobscot River.  Pass many memorial benches, informative plaques, gazebo, park, and marina while enjoying a view straight down the Penobscot River of Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory, and Fort Knox.  Near the end of the walk hop back onto Main Street for an ice cream or a meal at Macleods.  Site of the Bucksport Bay Festival in late July with boat rides, food, merchant booths, music, entertainment, parade, fireworks, civil war reenactments, kids games and more.
