The Fisherman at the Wheel has been staring out to sea since 1925

Built in 1925 and dedicated to they that go down to the sea in ships, the Fisherman's Memorial lists Gloucester fishermen who have been lost at sea since the seventeenth century.  The Fisherman's Memorial was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
