Visitors to the city of Dearborn, Michigan have various options for occupying themselves with sports and activities.
Many visitors to the area choose to bring along their clubs and play a few rounds at one of the many Golf Courses in and around Dearborn. Because of the cold weather in the winter time, some of these courses are closed during a few months of the year, so make sure to take this into consideration. Most courses, (even the public courses) require players to schedule tee times a few days in advance.
Dearborn is situated on the banks of Lake Erie, and during the warm months of summer, there is lots of fun to be had at this Great Lake. For more information, check out this Lake Erie Tourist Information page.
The winter months in and around Dearborn can get rather cold and snowy. However, if one does not mind sub-freezing temperatures, there are many cold weather outdoor activities available. There are numerous ski hills around the greater Detroit area, which although can’t compare to other resort mountains around the country, can be great fun. Ice skating is another popular winter activity.
