Heritage Hill Tour of Homes: The first full weekend in October, when the leaves are shedding lovely color, the Heritage Hill Association plans a tour of 10-20 of the beautiful old homes and other buildings in the historic Heritage Hill neighborhood. Big old Victorians, Prairie-style bungalows, the amazing Mason's hall, Gerald Ford's childhood home - it's always a mixture, and fascinating to see the wonderful (and horrible!) things people have done with these places.  You can walk from place to place, following the map on your ticket, or catch a shuttle to the farthest-flung. Neighbors have hot cider and coffee stands with home-made cookies for sale.
