Step back in time as you enter this 1900-1920 era apothecary and dry goods store. Acquired by the Manistee Historical Museum in the 1960's, these two adjoining stores are filled to the ceilings with virtually every household product of the early 20th century.  There is something to look at around every corner.  If you want to get a feel of the technology of your grandparents' era, this is a must-see side trip.

Also contained in the museum, for genealogy buffs, the local genealogical society has a treasure trove of research ranging from an extensive index card system of newspaper articles, cemetery records, obituaries and more.  You can even look at the original newspapers of the time.

Admission is a $2.00 donation.
