Big Sky is home to a wide variety of restaurants. Its resort location results in a wider set of options than many Yellowstone gateway communities. From home-grown local favorites to four Wine Spectator Award-winning restaurants, Big Sky has what it takes to satisfy the discriminating palate.

Big Sky features some of the most creative cuisine in the Rocky Mountain west. It's a great place to experience wild game, with Olive B's, Buck's T-4, the Rainbow Ranch, By Word of Mouth, the 320 Ranch, The Jack Creek Grille, The Cabin and the Big EZ all incorporating wild game dishes into their menus. Great steaks can be found at Buck's and The Corral; and The Bugaboo Cafe offers a dazzling display of home-cooked goodness.

Big Sky is also home to the region's most extensive wine lists. The Rainbow Ranch is Montana's only recipient of Wine Spectator's prestigious "Best of Award of Excellence". Buck's T-4, The Peaks and By Word of Mouth are recipients of the magazine's " Award of Excellence."  Many restaurants feature wine events, such as classes, tastings and winemaker dinners.

For more casual dining, thick, juicy burgers and creative sandwiches can be found the The Corral, Buck's T-4, The Bugaboo Cafe the Half Moon Saloon, and the Brewery.  Great pizzas are in the oven at Blue Moon Bakery, Milkie's, Ousel and Spur, and Mountain Top Pizzas. For zesty Mexican food, check out the Cinnamon Lodge. For an Asian flair, try Lotus Pad, Arata Sushi or The China Cafe, and the heartiest wraps in the west are at The Wrap Shack. Real-deal Texas barbecue can be found at The Broken Spoke.

On the 3rd Tuesday in July, Big Sky puts on the dog at the Big Sky Food Festival. Enjoy the culinary delights of local area chefs and restaurants as they showcase their best at one of Big Sky's most popular summer events.  Didn't have enough time to try all the restaurants on your vacation?  Come to the Food Festival, where you can have a little bit of everything.  Music by local entertainers, and beer and wine available from local and national brewers and wineries.
