Visitors to the city of Kalispell have a number of opportunities to participate in a variety of sports and activists.  The entire Flathead Valley has an outdoor culture, and with the nearby Glacier National Park, active visitors will not be bored.

People from all around the country come to Montana in hopes of finding clear lakes and miles of unspoiled rivers, filled with large, healthy trout.  The fishing around Kalispell lives up to this reputation, and Flathead Lake is a major fishing spot.  Although large fish can be caught right from shore at many locations around the lake, the best way to find the big-dogs is to head out on a boat.  For more information, visit Fish, Stay and Play.

Glacier National Park, which is located about 30 miles northwest of Kalispell, is one of the country’s most beautiful and pristine national parks.  One of the many magnificent features of this park is a massive glacier, which measures an amazing 40 miles across and 50 miles long.  For more information about this park, visit the National Park Services: Glacier website.
