Play golf at the Hanover Country Club which is open to the public.

Hike the Appalachian Trail which goes right through Hanover (this is also a good spring or fall activity.  Or possibly winter for the truly adventurous)

Paddle the Connecticut River.  Canoes and kayaks can be rented from the Ledyard Canoe Club, or bring your own.

Go skiing at the Dartmouth Skiway

Go sledding on the golf course

Go skating on Occom Pond

The Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth college offers a year-round calendar of events open to Dartmouth students and the general public.  They host concerts (student groups and national acts), comedians, plays, musicals, art exhibitions and even the Big Apple Circus.

Many first time visitors to Hanover are prospective college students.  Contact the admissions office to schedule an official tour or visit the Dartmouth College website to download a map and guidebook.
