In summer the lake features boating activities, swimming,
hiking, camping, shopping, amusement parks with thrill rides, water parks,

and many other fun summer activities.
The focal point of many summer activities is the Queen of
American Lakes, Lake George. Lake George is a 32-mile lake that spans from Lake
George Village in the south to Ticonderoga at the north end. The lake is spring fed filled with many
islands of all different sizes. Islands
on the lake come in different varieties; the public islands may be enjoyed for
camping, some for day use (picnics) and others are for cruiser camping.
Cruiser camping allows a boater to stay

The autumn of course brings the beautiful fall foliage
and all the splendid colors that go with it. There are plenty of ways to see
the foliage from the scenic drives around the area, to boat rides on Lake
George and even hiking in the many trails in and around Lake George.
