Drive up I-35 to Cowboy Country in Oklahoma City.  Nice way to cruise is via car with cruise control and a picnic lunch.  Just be aware of the 3/2 beer in Oklahoma.  Full Service Beer is available in State Liquor stores.  Convenience stores etc only sell the watered down version. 

People are supprised to hear you are coming to OKC for a getaway as they are going other places (ie. DFW Texas) for their getaway weekend.  Many conventions and other events are held there as they have wonderful facilities and the atmosphere is laid back.

Hotel Biltmore is the largest in Oklahoma and is a family oriented place with people who love pets of all sizes and types from dogs and cats to larger animals such as Horses.  What an adventure to see how everyone is made to feel like home in a hotel atmosphere.  But, the do not allow rude behavior - security is well versed in problem people.  (ie Drunken Fools)  so keep it quiet and they will leave you alone.
