Visiting Bend with kids cannot go wrong. Festivals, plenty of outdoor and indoor sports, museums, parks, performing arts events guarantee you that kids won’t get bored.

If the kids like outdoor activities, you can rent a Cycle cab and ride in downtown and around Bend in a tour or just with your family. If you are for bigger outdoor space, Bend has many parks where the whole family can hike and bike. Go to http://www.bendparksandrec.org/ and check that there are more than 60 parks that you can choose.

If the kids prefer a more structured sport, try Acrovision Sports Center where kids can climb walls, do gymnastics and martial arts. At Central Oregon Indoors Sports Center they play diverse sports from ice skating to soccer and lacrosse.

If you prefer to watch, attend a Bend Elks baseball game at Vince Genna Stadium where they play as it was in the old times.

Something different: enjoy a great meal while you are being robbed (it’s just a joke) at Crooked River Dinner Train, a fun dinner theater show. Or visit Peterson Rock gardens and Museum where will love the landscape that looks as transplanted from a fairy book with miniature castles, bridges and ponds. You can always try Working Wonders Children’s Museum that features exhibitions that combine fun and learning. The High Desert Museum and Lava Lands Visitor Center are just south of Bend - both are great family destinations.

You can go camping and the kids will delight with the prospect of fun and adventure that Bend’s landscape offer.
