The nightlife in Hood River tends to be pretty muted, as this is a small town and most people visit for the camping, biking and other outdoors activities. There are some restaurants and bars, however, where visitors can relax after a long day of windsurfing, hiking or touring the scenic farms and towns around Hood River. Hood River is especially well-known for their beer, especially microbrews, which are said to have originated in the nearby city of Portland. The Full Sail Brewing Co. Pub is located at 506 Columbia Street. The Full Sail Brewing Company is actually a microbrewery, so ask about their specialties. There is another place that offers microbrews at 115 State Street called Big Horse Brew Pub. Other places that offer somewhat heartier meals with their beer are Steak & Spirit, located at 1301 B Street, Mesquitery Restaurant & Bar (1219 12th Street) and Celilo Restaurant & Bar (16 Oak Street). The Cebu Lounge at the Hood River Inn (1108 E Marina Way) has live music almost every weekend and never charges a cover either.
