Now is the time to get the most out of your weekends, and Columbia and Montour Counties have you covered.  Festivals, Flings, Jamborees, Roundups, and yes, a Rodeo, fill our events calendar.

The leaves are in full color by now so it must be time to celebrate fall, covered bridges and arts and crafts at the Annual Covered Bridge and Arts Festival. The festival is held the weekend following the Bloomsburg Fair at Knoebels Amusement Resort, Elysburg, from 10am – 6pm each day.  This annual event, sponsored by the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau, features over 250 crafters, food, entertainment, and covered bridge tours.  See apple butter being made, woodcarving, blacksmithing and more as you choose from woodcrafts, wreaths and dried floral arrangements, ceramics, clothing, baskets and much more.  Saturday includes a Fun Auction at 1 pm. Over 250 donated items will be auctioned by professional auctioneers. Items range from hand made crafts to certificates for lodging or dinner at some of the area’s finest restaurants.  On Sunday, car buffs are invited to display their classic and antique cars. Registration is free and begins at 10 am. Complete your day with a scenic tour of our covered bridges.  Guided bus tours depart Knoebels Amusement Resort Saturday at 11:00 am and 12:30 pm, and 1:00 pm on Sunday. Seats fill-up fast; reservations are strongly recommended.  And even though the official season is over, Knoebels opens many rides in the park on Saturday and Sunday, so there is really something for everyone to enjoy.
