There are so many things to see and do in Pittsburgh, where does one start? If visiting Pittsburgh, check out this new unique service to aid our many new Visitors and Tourists, http://www.pittsburghconciergeservice. When driving in, try and go through the tunnels (directly on the route coming from the airport).  If you don't have them where you live, they are so exciting to drive through.  Mount Washington is a very beautiful place with some of the most picturesque views in the country.  There are some restaurants at the top which offer a wonderful food with a view from the side of the mountain that overlooks downtown and the city of bridges below. The best way to get to the top of Mount Washington is to ride on one of the historic inclines. There are two options - the Duquense and the Monongahela. Both are very inexpensive and a very exciting ride for first timers. The Duquesne Incline has most of the restaurants at the top. The Monongahela takes you to a residential area where you can walk to one of several lookouts. The city offers many restaurants for all cultures.  Carson Street on the South Side has many options, also try the Strip, or Station Square.  At Station Square, there is the Ducky Tour.  It is a very unique vehicle that starts out on land, showing all of the downtown history, then goes IN THE WATER!!  This is a must for visitors.  Pittsburgh also offers the National Aviary, and some terrific museums including Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Science Center, and The Andy Warhol Museum.  There is a 14-block area of downtown Pittsburgh designated as the Pittsburgh Cultural District  which features public spaces, art galleries, and six major theaters and concert venues, most located in beautifully restored historic buildings. Additionally, Pittsburgh offers sports fans the opportunity to take in an NFL, NHL or MLB sporting event in one of the new downtown facilities. This a great place for a day getaway, but if you don't see it all, you can always stay longer!
