Nightlife in Columbia has picked up over the last few years. One location that has been in business for about fifteen years is the

Salsa Cabana. It is the premier Latin dance culb in Columbia. It s for a dance crowd and for ladies and gentlemen. It is not a college drinking bar to get hammered. It is all about the dance. They serve drinks and they have some snacks as well. If you like something more eclectic try Gervais and Vine, on Gervais Street, is a popular wine tavern and tapas bar, with an ever-growing selection of tapas.   For hopping sports bars, check out Bailey’s Sports Grille  on Alton Court and Damon’s Clubhouse, on Senate Street. Both offer big-screen TVs and excellent barbecue ribs. For live music, go to  New Brookland Tavern  on State Street. Here, Columbia’s oldest continuously running music club and tavern hosts several bands each week. A more diverse crowd frequents Group Therapy on Green Street, which tends to get more interesting as the night progresses. The Art Bar  on Park Street is another place for eclectic nightlife, with a lively dance experience in a unique space.
